Welcome to Families Overcoming Addiction. We hope you find some useful information, support and comfort here.

- Does their substance use impact negatively on family life?
- Have you tried everything but nothing seems to help?
- Are you frustrated? Angry? Hurt? Afraid?
Families Overcoming Addiction can help.
We are based in New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand/Aotearoa. We meet weekly on a Monday from 6pm to 8:30pm to share coping strategies, communication skills, ideas and support which you may find helpful.
We are a group of parents, spouses, siblings, friends, and we all have someone we care about who has a problem with drugs and/or alcohol. We operate on a first-name basis, respecting your privacy and confidentiality. We provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where we all relate to the struggles and challenges of loving a person who has an addiction.
If your organisation would like to learn more about Families Overcoming Addiction we can come to you and deliver a presentation to your staff. We will outline what, when, where, how and who our service is about and provide resources, contact details and referral pathways.
